Fox News -- where the marginally informed get their news.

The Völkischer Beobachter for the 21st Century.

The place where Bill O'Reilly foments a rabid anti-abortionist with his "baby killer" rhetoric to murder Dr. George Tiller.

Where Sean Hannity continually refers to Obama as a Socialist, a Marxist, and OMG, a Hitler. And where famously, Glen Beck said that Obama hates White people.

So a couple of days ago, Daily Kos released a poll of 2000 Republicans with these not surprising results:

Regarding Obama, the poll found that 39% thought he should be "impeached," and another 29% "wasn't sure." (Must be because he's Black?)

63% said Obama is a "Socialist." (I think their version of a Socialist is an educated Black man.)

As stated by Daily Kos,

"That's the power of Fox News and Rush Limbaugh, after one year of relentlessly claiming Obama is the second coming of Lenin ... and Hitler!"

Of course, who can forget the "Birther" Conspiracy? 42% of those polled thinks Obama wasn't born in the US, and another 22% is "Not Sure."

Additionally, 53% think that Sarah Palin is more qualified to be President than Obama. (I have no response for that one.)

Finally 31% believes what Glen Beck believes -- that Obama hates his grandmother and mother (i.e. White people) with another 33% not sure.

What does this poll mean? It means that the Fox News machine is VERY powerful and VERY effective @ shaping the message; and the impressionable minds of millions of practically illiterate White Americans who most likely are racists, sexists and Christian.

Don't laugh @ these buffoons. They're not.

Fox and Roger Ailes are following a path we've seen before in the 1920's in Germany. And unless this country can get its head out of its ass, look for Fox to become even more powerful in shaping the social and political slants of even millions more.

Then -- watch out...

Child stealing from developing countries.

This crap with the Baptists from Idaho trying to kidnap 33 Haitian children really pisses me off.

In the name of humanity, these self-righteous dicks try to steal children from poor and destitute countries rather than helping to support them in their own environment.

And what's really galling is a number of these kids aren't even orphans -- a number of them were given up by their families because they couldn't afford to feed them.

It's a sorry state when "Christians" in the name of mercy and charity, steal children from existing families under the guise of giving them a "better home."

If they're so damn Christian, why don't they help these families stay intact? Isn't that what the Christian Right Wing's "Family [bullshit] Values" is all about?

I hope these missionary bastards do some hard time in a Haitian jail -- that is, if there is still a slammer left standing after the earthquake...
